Q- What’s the nearest airport?
Bergerac 40 mins or Bordeaux 2 hours. Other alternatives are Limoges, Rodez and Toulouse.

Q-Who flys there?
Bergerac- Flybe and Ryanair. Bordeaux- BA, BMI-Baby and Easyjet.

Q- Can I go by Train? 
The high speed TGV train runs from Paris into Bordeaux, and then a local line to Lalinde (10 mins away from us).

Q-Is La Fourquerie hard to find by car?
Most car SAT NAV’s have us listed directly, as the house and hamlet are very old! Alternatively try www.viamichelin.com and type in our house LA FOURQUERIE  PRESSIGNAC-VICQ or post code- 24150.

Q- My husband doesn’t like riding, will he find plenty to do?
Yes- From relaxing by the pool, quad biking, golf to Chateaux Visits. 

Q-What is the minimum aged for horse riding?
Eight years, but competency and fitness is key- please discuss this with us first. 

Q-Are the optional meals you offer only French style?
We use only the freshest local produce, and are mostly English style. We can discuss this with you in depth before you arrive-including special dietary requirements. 

Q-Will you provide picnics?
Yes- this can be arranged. Please ask when you book for prices and menu ideas. 

Q- As an extra - can you provide us a meal on arrival?
Yes, don’t worry, especially if you are driving down- please talk to us 

Q-Is there a good restaurant near by?
Yes a Michelin rated restaurant 1 mile away and a child friendly restaurant (pool table, internet café, table soccer) less than 5 miles away (ask us about running you too and fro). 

Q- Can we buy our own food locally?
Yes- 5 minutes for general supplies, 10 minutes for a full market town with supermarkets, garages etc. Also, Bread (and fresh Croissants!) is delivered to our house. 

Q-Do we need a car?
The time you stay and the level of activities will determine this. Generally it is recommended and we can even lend you a SAT NAV unit to take the stress out of sightseeing! All the airports have car hire services.

 Q- Will you pick us up from Bergerac airport?
We do prefer you to have your own hire car, but should this be an issue, please talk to us first. 

Q- Is there child care/ baby sitter?
We can help out so please discuss with us before you book. 

Q- What are the temperatures like?
Although like anywhere we cannot guarantee the weather, generally-

Jan/Feb- Cold and dry

March/April- Mild, bright and a real spring time. Swimming pool weather from mid/late April.

May- Usually like an English summer, great for walking riding and getting about comfortably.

June/July/August- Usually very hot

Sept/Oct- Cool and Sunny, Autumnal scenery.
